From our Superintendent: One week from today (June 26th) our driving range will be closed for the day but for a good reason. We will be doing a small renovation on the tee top and we are seeding it Bermuda grass. We are using a hybrid seed called Celebration. It will take at least 4 weeks for it to be established but our goal is to be able to hit off the grass vs the mats more often. The tee top is too small for the amount of play it receives on the weekends and rye grass can't grow back fast enough. The Bermuda is much more aggressive and should fill in faster. Once it's established this year I want to be hitting off the grass Friday - Sunday and next year possibly Thursday - Sunday. I'll be doing some posts next week of our progress.
